About

Overview

Beacon Renal is the only satelite dialysis provider in Europe to have achieved Joint Commission International Accreditation and its gold seal of quality standards.

We are 100% owned and operated by Beacon Medical Group and supported by the full resources of Beacon Hospital.

Beacon Medical Group was founded by Cardiothoracic Surgeon Professor Mark Redmond, Michael Cullen and  John Delaney in 2002 to advance Professor Redmond’s philosophy and vision of healthcare excellence in Ireland.

BMG’s first major initiative was the development of Beacon Medical Campus which now incorporates the 214 bed Beacon Hospital, Beacon Consultants Clinic and Concourse, Beacon Hall,  Beacon Renal, Beacon CARE Fertility, Beacon Face and Dermatology, The Wellington Eye Clinic, Weight Motivation Clinics, the Irish Maternal Fetal Foundation and Beacon Pharmacy among others.

Since 2004, Beacon Renal has provided dialysis services to patients under contract to the HSE and referring public hospitals (St Vincent’s, Mater, St James’s, Waterford Regional, Tallaght and Beaumont Hospitals) – initially in Beacon Medical Campus and now in our three state of the art satellite units in Drogheda, Sandyford and Tallaght.

Our dedicated multi-disciplinary team comprises over 100 uniquely experienced medical, nursing, dietetic and care staff treating patients in cooperation with the HSE / NRO and the referring parent hospitals.

Uniquely Beacon Renal is accredited with Joint Commission International status and was the first renal dialysis satellite unit in Europe to achieve the JCI gold seal.
