All Policies and Procedures are in line with current guidelines and legislation and include procedures for clinical procedures, reporting accidents, infection control, health and safety and dangerous occurrences. The full manual is maintained in the clinic and is available for inspection. Our Policies and Procedures are designed to comply with ISO 9001:2000. All staff are trained in the use of the Policies and Procedures as part of their induction-training programme.
Patients are dialysed according to internationally recognised quality standards i.e. DOQI guidelines, Irish Nephrology Society and European Best Practice Guidelines. Patients will be reviewed in clinics by the medical team on a regular basis.
Comprehensive and proven systems for assessing and improving the quality of dialysis services are an integral part of the operation to ensure control of the dialysis process. An integrated patient data system is utilised which is designed to allow description and analysis of patient characteristics, clinical laboratory values, treatment characteristics and a variety of outcome measures.
