Dr Alan Watson

Dr Watson graduated from Trinity College Medical School in 1977. On completion of his medical training, he spent a year in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA before joining the Department of Nephrology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins University in 1984 before becoming Director of Dialysis in 1986. He was appointed Consultant Physician / Nephrologist of St. Vincent's University Hospital, Meath/Adelaide National Children's Hospitals, National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street in 1995.

Dr Watson is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland, The American College of Physicians and The American College of Clinical Pharmacology. He is Board certified in internal medicine, nephrology and clinical pharmacology and has obtained his MD from Trinity College, Dublin. Dr Watson has extensive research experience and has authored over 200 publications.
